Dr. David J. Darr was a lifelong Catholic who
believed deeply in the sanctity of human life. He
was also a dedicated member of the Sandusky
Knights of Columbus and a local chiropractor. In
his free time, he was an amateur triathlete and
marathon runner, completing several Iron Man
events as well as marathons in all fifty states. It
was David's wish to combine his love of human
life and his love for running into a family friendly
5K event to benefit local pregnancy centers.
Sadly, David died unexpectedly in 2021 while the
first race was in its planning stages. His fellow
Knights banded together to put on the race in his
honor which has now become a yearly tradition
raising thousands of dollars for pro-life charities.
